| Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry | The Birmingham and Midland Society for Genealogy and Heraldry is the principal family history society for the counties of: Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire. The society covers the areas of the old counties as they existed before the major boundary changes of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as the areas brought into them by those changes. In particular the modern metropolitan boroughs of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton (collectively known as the West Midlands) are covered. The metropolitan boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton are also sometimes collectively referred to as "The Black Country". |
| The Warwickshire Family History Society | Established in 1986, this societies aim is to help people everywhere conduct research into their Warwickshire ancestors. Covers the entire county and is the only Family History Society devoted solely to the whole of Warwickshire. |
| Coventy Family History Society | This Society was formed in 1994 to fulfill a growing need and to promote and encourage the study of family history, genealogy and local history in relation to the City of Coventry and its environs. |
| Rugby Family History Group | This is a group based on the town of Rugby, Warwickshire. Their aim is to encourage and aid the study of Family History which extends to conducting research relating to Rugby & surrounding areas for Members resident outside the district. The Group is a member of the Federation of Family History Societies |
| Nuneaton and North Warwickshire Family History Society | The NNWFHS started life as the Nuneaton Family History Group. Because of the rapidly increasing membership and family interests that many of the members have in North Warwickshire the area was expanded and the name changed to reflect this in 1998. NNWFHS is a member of the Federation of Family History Societies. |

| West Midlands BMD | The Register Offices in the county of West Midlands, England, hold records of Local births, marriages and deaths back to the start of civil registration in 1837. The county's Family History Societies are collaborating with the Local Authority Registration Services to make the indexes to these records freely searchable via the Internet. |
| Warwickshire County Records Office | Warwickshire County Record Office collects, preserves and makes available records relating to the history of Warwickshire and its people dating from the early 12th to the 21st century. |
