Bedfordshire Family History Society Bedfordshire Family History Society (BFHS) was founded in 1977 to bring together those interested in family history, genealogy and heraldry, primarily in Bedfordshire, and to help co-ordinate research and to make county records more freely accessible.
Bedfordshire Historical Record Society The Bedfordshire Historical Record Society has been publishing material on the history of Bedfordshire since 1912. It publishes a new volume each year, and these include both well researched articles and monographs on the history of Bedfordshire, and also a wide variety of original records relating to the county, each with a helpful introduction and detailed notes to assist the reader.
